The city's biggest weekly market closes Ratchadamnoen Road to traffic every Sunday afternoon for street food, crafts and buskers, running from Tha Phae Gate to Wat Phra Singh. It is a classic family evening out, with temple courtyards along the way to sit and eat.
Worth knowing
Arrive between 4 and 5:30pm before it gets packed (crowds peak from about 6:30pm), and bring cash, as most stalls do not take cards.
