1994
Founded in 1994, the Christian German School Chiang Mai is the only officially recognised German school abroad in Thailand offering the German International Abitur. From kindergarten to graduation, children learn in a warm, close-knit community guided by the school's motto, “Hand in Hand: learning and living together”.
The kindergarten welcomes children from age 3, with half-day and full-day options. German is the main language of daily life and learning, complemented by English and Thai.
In the school section, students follow the German curriculum in small classes, and the Abitur opens doors to universities in Germany, Europe and around the world.
The green campus in Saraphi offers plenty of space to learn, play and explore.

Worth knowing: Teaching is in German. Students learning German as a foreign language pay a higher rate in classes 5 to 7. The admission fee is 20,000 THB for kindergarten, and it is credited in full when a child moves up to the school section. Sibling discount on the admission fee and on tuition or childcare fees: 10% for the second child, 15% for the third and 20% from the fourth.
